The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini auction is set to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16, 2025. As the event approaches, one question has been at the center of discussions among fans and franchise managements alike: will teams be allowed to use the Right to Match (RTM) card?
Following last year’s high-profile two-day mega auction in Jeddah, the IPL will return to a mini-auction format. This model allows franchises to fine-tune their squads rather than rebuild them from the ground up. Teams were required to finalize and announce their retained players by November 15.
